DEAF Inc. provides inclusive education to the deaf and hearing-impaired Filipinos through Filipino Sign
Language as medium of instruction. Initially, a deaf child is taught Basic Sign Language in the Pre-Elementary level.
Then he/she moves up to Elementary level, then the Junior High School Level, and finally, College Level, to those capable
and willing to pursue a degree.
The ladderized education levels are as follows:
1. Pre-Elementary
2. Grades 1 to 6
3. Grades 7-10
4. Four years in College, with a Bachelor of Elementary Education (BEEd)
The curriculum for Elementary and Junior High School is composed of the major subject areas as prescribed by the Department of
Education (DepEd), such as English, Filipino, Math, Science, Social Sciences, Values Education, Technology and Livelihood Education
and Physical Education, Health and Music. The College curriculum also follows the Commission in Higher Education (CHED) requirement
for the degree in Bachelor in Elementary Education (BEEd).
